A Toast to SMC Scholarships 
Grand Wine Tasting Come to SMC on August 5 for the annual Grand Wine Tasting and silent auction. All proceeds will go to the Alumni Association student scholarships fund. Some of the featured wineries will be Orsi Papale, Hess and Iron Horse.
800 Attend Reunion Weekend
This year's reunion was possibly the largest summer gathering of alumni on campus in SMC history. Alums gathered with family and friends for a full slate of activities including a golf tournament, Friday night party at McCovey's in Walnut Creek, Saturday barbecue, Mass, dinner, dancing and the unveiling of the new athletic logo. Nearly 200 even spent the night in the dorms.

New SMC Website Launched
The redesigned Saint Mary's College website was officially launched in July. The new design, which will feature different outstanding alumni and events on the home page, has been structured to cater the two largest groups that frequent the site, prospective students and alumni.
Loyal Gael and Longtime SMC Employee John Leykam Dies
John Leykam, who worked for the College for more than 20 years, most recently as the special assistant to the athletic director, and was one of its biggest boosters, died Friday, July 20 at his home. Leykam Obituary

 New Athletic Logo Revealed
The Saint Mary's College Department of Athletics and Recreational Sports unveiled its new athletic logo on July 21 in a joint press conference and reception as part of SMC's reunion weekend. Apparel with the new logo will be available at Bay Area Champs Sporting Goods stores.

Come to the 28th Annual Northern California Golf Classic
On Monday, September 10, 2007 at the prestigious Discovery Bay County Club in Byron, CA. Four-person scramble play begins with a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. The cost is $250/player or $1,000/foursome with all proceeds benefitting Saint Mary's College Gael Athletics.
