Introducing Cohiba
| Cohiba 2001 17.1h Gelding by Calido I
Proven Jr/AO Jumper and a stunning Equitation horse. Cohiba has career earnings of over $50,000 with $30,000 won in the Junior Jumper ring alone. He won the 5 y.o. Midwest Young Jumper Finals with Wilhelm Genn and was Reserve Champion his 6th Year. Cohiba has placed as high as 2nd in $25K Grand Prixs, and was Theo Genn's choice mount for 2008 FEI North American Young Rider & Junior Championships. He has Tricolors from AAs to AOs to 1.40s, and could take a junior from Big Eq to Grand Prix. A very special horse and potential career maker for any aspiring jr/am. Located in Atlanta. | Sprite sweeps 1.15m classes at Spruce Meadows Oktoberfest
The impressively consistent Sprite once again dominated the Jumper rings at Spruce Meadows. Held appropriately over Halloween weekend, the "Oktoberfest" Horse Show offered three Open 1.15m classes, and Sprite won each of them. Sprite also tops 150+ competitors world-wide to lead the 2010 FEI International Childrens Jumper standings, and won the Western Canadian Championships. I've seen a lot of $10,000 Ch/AA NAL Classics in the prize lists lately, and there is of course the $10,000 Finals each year at Harrisburg. Clearly Sprite is an excellent choice for riders aiming for the big purses! Sprite on The Exchange |

| Waltzing Mathilda WF & Ryan Pedigo win hack & division Tricolors at Showpark
This lovely young hunter continues her winning ways while gaining miles and experience. One of the nicest movers I've seen in a long time I do believe this one is on her way to certain success. Mathilda's been shown lightly in 2010 and come home with Blues, if not Tricolors, from every outing. She is ready for Pregreens in 2011 and should be a top competitor on the Winter Circuits:

Raven Ridge Farm shines again at Minnesota Harvest
Once again Raven Ridge Farm, owned by Kim & Andy Barone, enjoyed hometown success at the 2010 Minnesota Harvest Horse Show. Owner Kate Sweeney rode Showtime to Reserve Tricolors in the Junior Hunter division while Kim picked up the irons for a win over fences in the combined Green/Regular Working Hunter division, and a 4th of 32 in the $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Classic. Not to be outdone by his stablemate, Acolades CWF was also ridden by Kim to Reserve Tricolors in the Green/Regular Working Hunter division. Acolades is one of my favorite picks as a top contender for the $500,000 Hunter Prix Finals at 2011 HITS Saugerties. He's brave (won the $10,000 Maffit Lake Derby with scores of 90 & 92 in September) and has a good start in the 3'6" ring but still respects a 3'3" jump. Check Me Out
This impressive Grand Prix prospect by Landkonig topped a very competitive field of 26 to win the 1.30m Round of the 2010 West Coast Young Jumper Finals for 6 year olds at Showpark. He's ready for 7/8 year old classes in 2011 and will excel with someone experienced in finishing Grand Prix horses. Great jump, brave and naturally carefully. See in CA with Susie Artes, and may also be available in AZ: Check Me Out on The Exchange < (ha, that's kind of funny!)

| Forte and Katie |
After a very successful first season Cynthia Malouin and Exchange Alum "Narew" have qualified for and will compete in the Childrens Hunters at the prestigious Royal Winter Fair in Toronto. We've had a blast following this team's great season and seeing all their wonderful photos. Congrats Cynthia and Narew, and best of luck this weekend!
On a related aside we hear that Cynthia's old pony, Exchange Alum "Broc On Broadway", is doing excellent in the Childrens Pony divisions in Los Angeles!
| Similarly, new owner Katie Aoki and Exchange Alum "Forte" have had a great start together. Forte went from Pony Finals to his new home with 10 year old Katie in California. They have been Champion or Reserve at each of their first 3 shows, and are shining in 2'9" Equitation classes against horses (that happens to be Forte's, well, forte). Katie will rely on Forte's great experience for a successful move up to the Large Pony division in 2011. We wish them the best of luck and hope to see them at Pony Finals next summer!
