Will this pony also compete in the Pony Medal Final? Yes
Have you and/or your pony ever been to Pony Finals? If so, what was your favorite part of the experience? This is our 3rd year going to Pony Finals. I met one of my favorite horse show friends in the airport on the way to Pony Finals for my first time. I love watching the pony jumpers and the auction.
What are your expectations or goals for this year's Finals? For every competition I work on being smooth and consistent. Beau is such a good boy that I always hope to do the best I can so that he jumps the best he can.
Pony Finals will champion a handful of ponies as the best in the country, but all of our ponies are special in some way. What makes your pony special? (Could be athletic talent or a great personality trait! Or both!) Beau is playful and good tempered. I always trust that he will take care of me even if I make a mistake. He is a good equitation pony as well as a godd hunter pony.
How are you and your pony preparing for Finals? I spend as much time as I can at the barn every day, riding Beau and other ponies at the barn for practice. Beau and I will go to a few big shows so that we are ready. I also pay special attention to his grooming so that he will be shiny and fit.
A lot of riders get nervous before competition, it's totally normal! Do you think the nerves and excitement of Finals will affect your pony? I get more nervous than Beau does. The less nervous I am the smoother my rounds are - but Beau will jump around for me no matter what.
