New section "One on One" retells my personal experience with our sale horses

Just another way we're different . . .

They may reside several hundred miles away but our listings are no strangers to us. While most sites connect Sellers to databases and request generic details, we speak individually with each to determine the best Buyer and how to go about finding them. A handful of our listings have been sold or leased through our network more than once, and many of our clients are repeat Sellers with us. Our personal relationship with professionals and their animals provides Buyers with details that really matter.

Often I get to meet, watch and sometimes ride our listings, and to date I've never been disappointed. The horses are always exactly as described and then some, kind and willing to do their jobs. I created "One on One" so I can share these experiences with our Buyers.

Click here to visit "Westley", star of our first One on One installment. My experience watching him perform last week at Showplace Spring is what inspired this new section. I'm thrilled to share my personal experiences (and pictures!) of this sale horse.

Wellington has solid two weeks at
first leg of HITS on the Hudson series

WellingtonOur resident duke "Wellington" was a consistent campaigner during the start of the 2009 HITS Saugerties Circuit. He and owner/seller Louise Petz placed steadily in the ribbons in the Adult Hunters and won an over fences class Week 3. They also showed great success in the equitation sections winning a section of the M&S Adult Medal class Week 2, and placing 2nd Week 3.

A big, handsome, easy-moving gentleman Wellington is an ideal partner for the amateur rider. He can be seen at his home base in West Milford, NJ until he returns to Saugerties in July for the remainder of the HITS on the Hudson Circuit.

New listing Uladee CWF showcases
our first Hi-Definition video

And provides me with an excuse to upgrade our video system!

Repeat Exchange Seller Kim Barone recently called about listing one of her young hunters. Sounding somewhat perplexed she informed me the videographer at the new Maffit Lake shows was shooting in Hi-Definition film and inquired if we could use this. Having no idea myself (remember folks, I am a horse trainer by trade, not a techie) I took the videographer's name and number and promised to follow up.

A week later .MTS video file types (say what?) were uploaded to our site and I plopped them into our video computer. It laughed at me.

Long story short I decided it was time to upgrade our video production system, something we haven't done since beginning The Exchange in 2005. Armed with considerably more knowledge and experience than my previous rookie self I decided to build this system from scratch. I visited our local MicroCenter and after a little help from the clerk I had personally  selected every specific component of our new system. The clerk smiled and said, "It's going to be faster than mine." The nerd in me beamed.

Fast forward through a tricky build and all the aggravations of reinstalling every piece of software you own and I was finally able to process Uladee's video!

Uladee CWFUladee herself is a very promising young hunter with a fantastic jump. Coming 5 this year she was shown in hand as a youngster and lightly at the end of her 4 year old year. In 2009 she stepped up to the Pregreen division, as well as the Long Stirrup and PreAdults, and has been Champion or Reserve every time out. This horse is very athletic and will excel at 3'6", plus has the brain for a suitable junior or amateur to finish. Uladee can be seen at the Parker, Colorado Summer circuits in July.

As always I'm happy to personally assist Buyers on their search. Just send me a detailed description of your needs and I will not only consider you for all of our current listings, but also keep you in mind for future arrivals.

Sincerely,

Amber Aslin
