Our newest listing Ashby is making the long trip from Canada to show in the 3'3" Pregreen Hunters at the Atlanta Spring Classics with trainer Jackie Tattersall of Absolute Equestrian. Ashby is ready to move up to 3'6" but owner/breeder Nancy Fagan smartly wants to preserve green status for Ashby's new owner. Ashby was Pregreen Hunter Champion of his Zone for the Ontario Hunter Jumper Assoc. last year, and Baby Green Champion in 2007. He also has a slew of Young Horse awards, including a 3rd place of 62 as a 3 y.o. in the Governor General Cup at the 2005 Royal Winter Fair. Ashby is the son of Nancy's beautiful grey stallion Asher, and has an ideal temperament and style for amateur riders. View Ashby's listing and video here. |
Everyone was pretty happy with The New Yorker's performance Week Four of the Gulf Coast Winter Circuit as he won the WIHS Hunter phase, took 2nd in the Maclay, 3rd in the USEF & WIHS Jumper phase, and 4th in the USEF Talent Search. But now he has truly outdone himself.
After coming in 3rd in the Talent Search Week 5, owner Alex Biederman & "Ollie" decided to try their hand at the real jumper ring and entered the 1.3m Jr/AO Jumpers. The pair ended up winning a class and taking Reserve Champion in the division. "Ollie" competed well in the Regular Working Hunters last year and is always a handy ride in the jumper medals . . . certainly no one doubted his scope, but clearly he has more than scope alone. This horse is incredibly versatile for any rider still discovering their interests - hunters, equitation or even Jr/AO Jumpers?! What a partner to move up with.
