Winning four classes and placing 2nd in the fifth, Sin City & Patrick Spanton were A section Champions out of 60+ horses in the Low Hunters Week II. This compliments his Week I performance, where he and owner Kelly Straeter returned to the show ring to capture the Modified Adult Championship plus several ribbons in the competitive AA Hunters 18-35 division. Sin City can be seen with Rainbow Canyon Ranch Weeks 5 & 6. |
Some of you are familiar with our resident internet celebrity Burberry . . . his video competing bridle-less in the 3'6" Hunters at HITS Tucson last year has been very popular on certain online BBs (click pic to view). Burberry's back in Tucson this year and just as stellar: Small Junior Hunter Reserve Champion with young rider Hunter Holloway Week II, and 1st & 2nd Week I. Burberry and Brandie Holloway returned to the ring with a bridle this year to win the Hi-Low Hunters Week II. Brandie currently has Burberry and First Year Green horse "Woodstock" available for Buyers to see in Tucson. |
Aljano Jr. finds Florida suits him. Showing with Allwyn Court & Kathy Newman he brought home top ribbons and tricolors in the Pregreens with casual showing over the winter. He returned to the Childrens Hunter ring last week and was 3rd, 5th and 6th out of 30+ horses in the very competitive 14 & Under section. Aljano will remain in Wellington with Allwyn Court for the circuit. |
After a seven-month vacation from showing while owner Brian Shook enjoyed his newly expanded family (what fun!), Reno made a fantastic 2009 debut Week III of the Lake St. Louis Holiday series. Stepping right back up to 1.35m he was 3rd out of 21 in the $5000 Welcome Stake early in the week, and 4th of 15 in the $10,000 1.50m Grand Prix on Saturday. Reno & Brian will remain in the Midwest this winter (and are thrilled with the sudden heatwave!) and are competing again in St. Louis this week. Brian's barn Hunterpointe is located in Michigan. |
