Greetings!
As summer draws to a close we are seeing many of you with interesting art brought back from your travels. We are also seeing a lot of photo restorations as some of our customers begin the fall season with a resolution to preserve family history. Mike and Morgan have created a window display to feature lots of these projects, and we invite you to stop by to gather inspiration. Our September coupon features the best offer of the year, so be sure to scroll down to find the link. |
1878 San Francisco Bird's-Eye View
Print-on-Demand to Fit Your Space!
| | San Francisco, 1878 |
Announcing the fourth in our birds-eye-view series: San Francisco 1878. This map depicts pre-quake San Francisco with colorful Fisherman's Wharf in the foreground.
1878 finds San Francisco at the beginning of the industrial revolution. A lot has changed in the 32 years since the previous map. San Francisco is no longer the pastoral Spanish settlement of "Yurba Buena." A close-up view reveals a Bay filled not only with schooners and clipper ships but paddle wheels and steamers. The rural town has grown into a burgeoning metropolis and international seaport. The city is still concentrated along the north-east tip of the peninsula but will soon expand to the grassy hills in the background.
We can print these maps on demand at whatever size fits your decor. They make fabulous conversation pieces.

This Month's Framing Story
Artist and her Family Frame Together
Painter, Chenoa Grace, is a realist painter living and working in the Bay Area. She had 10 original oil paintings on board she needed framed for a show. "Everyone is so helpful and kind here. I brought my kids and they were given crayons and mat board to draw on. The frames are great quality and the prices were just right!" You can visit her web site by clicking here.

Farewell Paris!
Paris Becomes Full-Time Dad
Paris has worked with us for many years and we will really miss his framing skills. Most of all, we will miss his very cheerful personality. He has been a great help to us, and we know that the many customers who ask for him will also miss his design skills and helpful presence. Paris moves on to full-time fatherhood, replacing Jen at home. He will care for Owen while Jen goes back to work. Paris also hopes to further his art illustration business while working from home. We wish Paris much joy in his demanding new at-home position!
