Beginning today, every sale piece will be marked at $100. or less. These prices represent up to an 80% discount on some beautiful pieces with outstanding framing designs. The framing alone is worth at least triple the sale price, but we must clear wall space for new additions. Sale items are on display now. Colvos Passage Sunrise New Yamamoto Triptych now available Yoshiko Yamamoto has been working on a new series of Puget Sound landscape prints and will be releasing them soon. The first of these, Colvos Passage Sunrise, is pictured here and ready for presale. Call to order. She also recently finished a new print of windswept cypress trees based on her visit to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. You can see an enlargement on our web site. Edition of 240. Rainier This linoleum block print was based on Yoshiko's experiences camping at Mt. Rainier, and visiting the sub-alpine Sunrise Meadows. Limited edition of 245. Mat size 9" x 20". Hand Carved Yamamoto Key Block: How it's done Section of Windswept Cypress key block Yoshiko recently sent us photos of some actual key blocks used to create her prints. A key block is the most important of the blocks that are hand carved when making a block print. Yoshiko carves the key block, creating the basic lines for the finished image. She then uses more blocks to add the beautiful colors that she uses in her images. Each color block must be perfectly registered with the others. She used 21 colors in our Berkeley Rose Garden print! Photo Restoration - The Perfect Gift If you are trying to find the perfect present for the holidays, consider having us restore an old, damaged, or faded photo and frame it as a very special gift. November is the right time to start these projects because we can have them done with time to spare and without rush charges from our restoration company.
