Greetings!  

 

The annual Marian Pilgrimage to the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in Mission will be Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012. Come one and all to Fraser River Heritage Park to pray and celebrate in honour of Our Lady of Lourdes. The main celebrant will be Archbishop J. Michael Miller, CSB. All are most welcome!
 
Confessions will start at 11 a.m., with Mass at 12 noon. A procession will follow with Rosary and Benediction at the grotto.

Summer 2012 Institute
 

The Office of Catechetics offers a variety of programs to enrich adult Catholics in their faith formation and to prepare them for lay ministry in the Church.

 

As mature adults, we are aware that our desire to enter into a deeper understanding and relationship with God is ongoing. To that end, we offer a variety of courses for your personal enrichment. Click here to register for the Summer 2012 Institute.

Catholic Family Services is offering a training session for Napro/Creighton practitioners to promote NFP and fertility care. The training will take place from Sep.  8 - 15 at Rosemary Heights. For more information please contact Catholic Family Services.   
"Special Needs" grants through Project Advance

Applications for one time "Special Needs" grants through Project Advance for 2013 are now available. To be eligible, groups (not parishes or their projects) must be affiliated with the Catholic Church, be located and serve multiple persons here in our Archdiocese. The grant request must assist with a capital initiative. Deadline for applications is Sep. 30, 2012.

Congratulations to all who have been nominated for the Archdiocesan Stewardship Award. The Awards Committee is grateful for all the applications and to those who made the nomination.

 

It is a testament to the health and vigour of the Church in Vancouver to see so many wonderful and worthy people being recognized by their peers for their generosity in time, talent and treasure. A special ceremony will take place on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 at the Mass for the Opening of the Year of Faith.
