Friday Report

Greetings!

Where else can you attend the world premiere of a documentary on the Holy Land, followed by a panel discussion featuring Archbishop Michael Miller, Father Tom Rosica, and others, for $15? And for just $10 more, attend a cocktail reception?

Across the Divide is a Salt+Light documentary profiling Bethlehem University as it tries to contribute to a better future in the Holy Land. The Archdiocese is premiering this HD film Sunday, June 3, at SFU Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, 149 W. Hastings St., Vancouver.

Vancouver Sun religion writer Doug Todd had this to say about it.

To order your tickets online, visit the  Salt+Light website or the event Facebook page.

Sincerely,

Paul Schratz
Director, Communications Office

Pentecost Sunday
Solemnity
Sunday, May 27

"Through the Holy Spirit we are restored to paradise, led back to the Kingdom of heaven, and adopted as children, given confidence to call God "Father" and to share in Christ's grace, called children of light and given a share in eternal glory." - St. Basil, De Spiritu Sancto. XLT: a night of praise and worship and adoration

Get ready for XLT, an unforgettable evening of inspiration, worship, prayer, and adoration on Saturday, May 26 from 7:30pm - 9pm at Immaculate Conception Parish, Delta, presented by the OYYAM, along with Life Teen International. This event is for teens, youth ministry leaders, volunteers, parents, and everyone else!
Premiere of new Salt+Light Documentary

University students in B.C. don't have to wait hours to pass through checkpoints manned by armed soldiers. Thankfully, they don't have to put their studies on hold when a war breaks out.

By contrast, in the village where Christ was born, 3,000 students at Bethlehem University are confronted with such difficulties every day they try to get to class.

On Sunday, Jun. 3, the Archdiocese of Vancouver will host the premiere of a Salt+Light HD documentary on Bethlehem University as it tries to contribute to a better future in the Holy Land. Click here for info and tickets.
