SENIORS, NEED TO COOL OFF?  ~ Again this year White Birch Community Center is offering a cooling station for seniors needing relief from the heat.  The station, which is in the white building is open Monday ~ Friday until 5:30 PM  For information call 428-7860.  White Birch Community Center is located at 51 Hall Ave.
   

TOWN POSITIONS OPEN ~ Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy.  You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in (author unknown).  We have many openings for volunteer town positions.  Check out Volunteer Openings to learn more. Terms begin September 1st.

 

NH PARKS LICENSE PLATES ~ A new license plate is now available to support our State Parks.  The Plate will allow your car and passengers free entry into New Hampshire State Parks' day-use areas for one year.  Click here for details.

    Vendors / Craftsmen Wanted for Music on Main Street  Saturday, October 1st, 2011 from 9am-4pm

     

    The Spirit of Henniker Organizational Team (S.H.O.T.) is currently seeking vendors for the 3rd annual 'Music on Main Street.' This event will be held on Saturday, October 1st, 2011 from 9am-4pm.

     

    We have scheduled our event to coincide with the Homecoming/Parents Weekend at New England College. This gives us the opportunity to showcase all that our vendors and artisans have to offer to the hundreds of visitors in Henniker for the weekend. We are proud to let you know that last year we had approximately 1000 attendees and we are planning for this year's event to be even bigger and better! Book early as spaces are first come first serve.
