DARE TO SOAR!

...for I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Happy anniversary to me, Happy anniversary to me, Happy anniversary Touched By Grace Ministry,

Happy anniversary to me! Ten years ago, I launched Touched By Grace Ministry as an outlet for the gifts I believed God had given me to share. I was 99.99 percent sure I was being called -- I just didn't know to what. God led me to 1 Corinthians 15:10, to the TBG name, to my first three gigs before I had even made business cards, to the publisher for my first book, to all the people, places and things I needed so I could spread my wings and soar!

One of my favorite quotes by that prolific writer Anonymous says "Until you spread your wings, you will have no idea how far you can fly!" It's true. Sometimes we forget we even have wings because we've grounded ourselves with small dreams and distractions. We even use our wings like Christmas lights left up all year - we don't need them all the time but once a year, they're mighty handy. OR, we flap them for everything but flying and when it's time to soar, we've got just enough feathers for a nice pillow. Today get yourself in top form, choose a destination, file a flight plan, rise above the storm clouds, spread your wings and soar with the eagles! If you flap, God will do the rest...

"No bird soars too high if she soars with her own wings." -Anonymous

Things to Do

I've learned that making a list helps me get things done. Use mine and add your own...

* Treat yourself to a Sunday afternoon nap this weekend. It is a luxury you definitely deserve!

* Put all your change in a designated place from now until Thanksgiving Day. Then count it, give half to charity and blow the rest on something memorable.

* This summer, go one place you've been meaning to but haven't yet.

* Adopt a "No Excuses" policy. Don't accept them from others or yourself--Prepare for excellence in every way-don't even think of leaving the house without looking your best. Presume you're going to meet your idol and you want their response to be "Wow, you are looking some kind of fabulous Miss Lady! They created the word "stunning" just for you!!!!! And yes, they did!!

* For the next two weeks, leave home 11 minutes earlier than usual for all your appointments.

(Nothing magical/mysterious about 11 - it just sounds cooler than 10!)

* Deliberately bless someone today-sponsor lunch, send a note, give a compliment, fill in the _____.

* Starting Monday, gather your old photos, date and identify them. Scan them into your computer or get them put on a disk to preserve them.

* Be real clear: if you keep doing what you've been doing, you will absolutely, positively keep getting what you've been getting- I'm just sayin'
