Seasons greetings, salutations and happy winter!!! I have begun my 55th and most fabulous year on the earth and all I can say is "mountain, move out of my way!" It really doesn't matter if the "mountain" is busyness, frustration or the sluggish economy, they are no match for me! I feel more beautiful, confident, focused and content than probably any time in my life. Oh yeah! Here's what I have learned since last century: friendship really is essential to the soul; if I have the choice/chance to sit it out or dance, I'm going to do the Cupid Shuffle 24/7; it is far better to forgive and forget than to hate and remember; if I buy happiness on installment, the payments last longer than the happiness; I can choose to be joyful, loving and caring-and, if I do, I can infect almost everyone else!

During this Advent season, take a deep breath and give/do/be your best self, that woman who brings a smile to God's heart! And, I pray that you, too, are preparing, anticipating and living expectantly today because God has BIIIIIIIIIIIG plans for us (Jeremiah 29:11 said so). Be open to the possibilities!

Things to Do

I've learned that making a list helps me get things done. Use mine and add your own...

*   Choose a Salvation Army Angel for sponsorship and remember the reason for the season.

Think four times before you take on any new responsibilities or committees for 2011. Give 110 percent to your current ones and reassess them before you re-enlist.

 *   Schedule your annual checkup and mammogram.

More Things To Do...

*   Do less and more: Cooking, cleaning, shopping, eating, fretting; resting, reflecting, relaxing-you decide which sounds like more fun.

*   Sit quietly and listen to your breathing-know and understand what a miracle you are! God crafted and shaped every inch of you, (even the ones you don't like and can't get rid of)-you are a force to be reckoned with-ACT LIKE IT!

*   Select a book by your favorite author and guiltlessly enjoy it!

*   Skip the resolutions for January 1 and finish last year's.

*  Exercise at least four times a week, drink more water and eat more fruits and vegetables to ward off pounds and extra medicines.

*    Send your favorite teachers (if they're still alive-anybody over 22 was ancient or so it seemed) a note and tell
them how they achieved that status.

*    Watch  the movie "Last Holiday", starring Queen Latifah, and make sure you are living your possibilities.
