President's Message |
What comes to mind when you say October? Apple Cider, Jack-O-Lanterns, and Halloween? For me, I always think "Four'Um." We are days away from this year's event and the planning team has done a magnificent job of organizing a great day of diverse subjects and articulate speakers. For me, it is a time of reuniting with past board members and colleagues. There is still time for you to register and I promise you won't be disappointed!

FPA Volunteers Needed for Call-In Hotline!!! | |
FPA has teamed up with Investor Protection Trust, Investor Protection Institute and Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine and health care professionals to provide a day of free advice and guidance on how Americans can protect themselves and loved ones against investment swindles and financial abuse, with a special focus on the elderly.
The organizations will host a call-in hotline on Thursday, Nov 10th from 9am to 6pm (Eastern Standard Time).
Hotline topics:
Callers will be seeking answers to general financial questions, advice on how to identify financial professionals that put their interests first, and tips on how to protect themselves and loved ones from financial fraud. Volunteers are also encouraged to help callers start a conversation about money with their adult children or older parents to prevent elder investment fraud and financial exploitation.
Please note: This program is purely educational and there will be no selling or promotion of products and services by organizers or volunteers.
How can you help?
It's easy! FPA members are needed to answer calls and educate consumers on how they can avoid financial abuse for themselves and loved ones. We'd like volunteers to provide two or more hours of hotline assistance; volunteers will be organized via a national network which means they can call in from anywhere in the country.
Those interested in volunteering should contact Ryanne Enyeart to schedule participation. Upon confirmation, they will be provided with detailed information regarding their participation. |
FPA Automatic Renewal Policy |
The FPA is excited to announce that you are now able to sign up for automatic renewal of your FPA membership!
