President's Message |
Wow, can you believe we are nearing the end of May? Where has 2011 gone? I trust you've each found increased productivity and enthusiasm in your businesses.
Hat's off to James Eisnor for, ONCE AGAIN, pulling off a terrific golf outing. Many years ago, (and I risk dating myself) Creedance Clearwater Revival had a hit song "Who'll Stop the Rain..." This age old question was surely appropriate for the golf outing. But, despite a few early showers and some soggy fairways, we had a blast!! The laughs and jabs over dinner, along with the awarding of super prizes, was the icing on the cake.
As we look into the summer months, our calendar of events is rather thin because we know graduations, weddings and vacations dominate agendas. But, we are planning a "Listening Tour" on July 26, 2011 where Marv Tuttle, Executive Director/CEO of the National FPA® and Marty Kurtz, President of the National FPA® will travel to Pittsburgh to listen to the ideas and concerns you have about the industry and the FPA®. Marv and Marty will bring the voice of several other FPA chapters from across America. I highly encourage you to make this a priority to attend a breakfast meeting on July 26th. More details will follow shortly, but the date is set in stone.
During the summer months, especially, the board seeks to reach out to members who may be interested in serving in on a committee or as director in the upcoming year. Don't be surprised if you get a phone call. The commitment is minimal and we promise you won't be disappointed.
