President's Message: Join us for the September 16 Estate Planning Conference |
Summer's lazy days are coming to a close. I trust you are recharged and refreshed from family vacations. Now it's time once again to focus on our business. Investing energy in keeping abreast of the dynamic industry we've chosen to make our living is a constant challenge. Why not let the Pittsburgh Chapter of the FPA help by providing you with the information, knowledge and experience of experts in the field?
I can't recall a time when there has been so much uncertainty over an issue like this year with Estate Planning. What if anything will Congress do this year? What implications will this have on our clients? Should they revise their estate plan now or wait until 2011? These and many more questions will be answered during our Estate Planning Conference on September 16th. J. Mark Munson, attorney with Thorpe Reed & Armstrong, LLP will be leading a discussion on "The Federal Estate Tax: 2010 a Year in Flux" to help us make sense of it all.
Do you know the College for Financial Planning has developed a new designation? The Accredited Domestic Partnership Advisor, ADPA, represents an area of planning that will continue to grow in popularity as our nation recognizes the diversity of it's people. We are happy to have Maureen B. Cohon, attorney with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, PC join us to discuss the nuances of Estate Planning for Domestic Partners.
And we are trying something new at this seminar! An opportunity for you to get involved and share your knowledge and experience as Ruth Forsythe, CFP® of The Advisors Group will be presenting a case study for review and discussion.
To find out more details and register for this seminar, click here. Seek me out to say hello or share any ideas or comments you have about YOUR FPA Chapter. I'm always interested in hearing from you.
