The best way to pick out a new tent is to set it up, crawl inside, inspect every corner, and then buy the best one for your needs. Where can you do that? Right in our back room where there is room to set up two or three tents at once and have the luxury of seeing them side by side as you decide which one is the tent for you. We currently have fourteen different models in stock, from featherweight one person shelters to mountain tested, all weather base camps. Here is a sampling of what we have.
Mountain Hardwear Sprite - 1 person tent
Designed for the solo backpacker or cyclist, the Sprite packs small and light. Front vestibule shelters gear and the efficient floor plan allows enough room for you and your essentials. Lightweight DAC NSL poles stand strong in Southeast Alaska storms. Watertight construction. Minimum weight is a mere 2 lb., 13 oz.
Mountain Safety Research Hubba Hubba - 2 person tent
A Foggy Mountain Shop staff favorite, and winner of the Backpacker Editor's Choice Award, this ultralight two-person freestanding tent is durable enough to protect from a sudden rainstorm or an unexpected early season snowfall. We particularly like the quick and easy setup featuring the all-in-one hub-and-swivel design that is super strong and easy to use. The stay-dry entrance and vestibule protect you and your gear up in the mountains or along wild coastlines.
Mountain Hardwear Drifter - 3 person tent
Family camping trips call for a tent that is quick and easy to pitch, guaranteed watertight and made with legendary Mountain Hardwear quality. Two side doors for easy access and two large vestibules stow gear. Mesh canopy for great ventilation - so important in Southeast Alaska to reduce condensation! Color-coded poles and grommet tabs with reflective starter points make even late-night set up easy.
The North Face Double Headed Toad - 4 person tent
For the fast-growing family or a close group of friends, this four-person, four-poled tent features two circular doors for easy in/out access. Ideal for trips with children or dogs, and can be broken up to share between three people at a light 2.5lbs each. Designed with color-coded poles, canopy, fly, and an easy-to-use pitch system, set up and take down are a snap. Total weight is 7 lb., 9 oz. - a manageable weight for car or boat camping, or when shared between two adults on short trips.

Plan your summer adventures now! Pick out your tent, practice setting it up at home, and then be ready for fun camping trips for years to come. Take good care of your tent and it will take good care of you.
