No-host executive mixer Friday, September 24

It's finally beginning to cool down.  What a perfect time for all the international organizations in Southern Nevada to come together for the first time!  (WACLV) has invited all executive/board officers of the international organizations/associations in town to join us for a no-host executive mixer at the Brio in Town Square during their happy hour.   This special opportunity will enable the officers of local international groups to initiate a dialogue with each other. As WACLV, our goal is to foster grassroots understanding of foreign policy issues and encourage engagement in international affairs here in the Valley. Our mission is to promote international events in a cooperative effort to put Las Vegas on the map as an international business, political and cultural center. Collectively, we can do so much more to increase the vitality of the Las Vegas community.

Formation of International Visitors Committee
Every year the State Department sponsors 3 to 4,000 high ranking international visitors that have been identified as important influencers.  WACLV is currently preparing an application to be the host organization for Las Vegas. (We are the largest metropolitan area in the U.S. that does not currently participate in this State Department funded program).  The program would be a major boom to the Southern Nevada foreign policy scene, bringing in hundreds of emerging leaders to learn about our hospitality system, infrastructure, urban planning, water management, energy initiatives, University system etc. Interested individuals, companies and government officials would be afforded the opportunity to network with influencers from countries around the world.  For more information visit www.nciv.org.  If you are interested in being a part of the WACLV Visitors Committee please contact us at waclasvegas@gmail.com

We need companies and public officials interested in bringing this program to Las Vegas to send in a letter of support to our application committee. Letters will be forwarded with the application to the State Department.  Contact Vice President Matt
