Call to Action -
Stop Stupak

Planned Parenthood Mar Monte (PPMM) is making a push in the Silicon Valley next Tuesday, December 1, to contact Senate Majority Leader Reid. Here's a special message from Fran Linkin, a PPMM staffer and SVYD member:

Here is a basic script and phone number for Reid:

Hi, my name is _______ and I live in California. I'm calling to thank Senate Majority Leader Reid for his leadership on health care reform and to ask him to protect women's access to health care by making sure that the Stupak amendment language is not included in any health care reform bill moving forward. Thank you.

Washington D.C: 202-224-3542

Reno: 775-686-5750

Here is the link to the online PPFA petition against Stupak: http://bit.ly/PPFutureOfChoice

Also: We are going to be doing community outreach in downtown San Jose and on San Jose State Campus and need volunteers to sign up for an 1 ½ hr shift of 'in person call recruitment' to get more calls into Reid's office on Tuesday, December 1st, 11 am-2 pm.

If you are interested in volunteering, please email Fran at Fran_Linkin@ppmarmonte.org or call her at (408) 795-3768. If you can't make the times listed above, we have plenty more opportunities to get involved!
