These very thoughts were read by our founding fathers as they deliberated the writing of our Constitution. They knew the truth of what was written by men like Cicero and others. |
President's Message
The Tea Party is being attacked today because we are fighting of those things that we know to be truths. The slander that heaped upon us by the left is despicable and uncalled for. We are fighting and winning this battle for the hearts and minds of Americans across the country, and the Liberals are scared. We know from experience that, in politics and others areas; that desperation brings out the worst in people. We have been told to "go straight to hell" that we "want to see black people hanging", that we are "terrorists" and "hate mongers". We were told that we would go away before the 2010 election and that we were all bible carrying, gun toting rednecks. They say that we want our President to fail because he is black. They even called us "hobbits". I know we are winning because they wouldn't be using be using this language if we weren't winning. It's just that simple. The left is devoid of ideas that will help our economy grow, that will reduce unemployment, that will make Social Security and Medicare secure for the elderly, that will make us less dependant on foreign oil, that will reduce rather than increase regulations, that will improve our schools and give all Americans the opportunity to succeed. We, the Tea Party Patriots, will continue to fight for all Americans. That's why the elections in 2012 are so critical to the future of our great country. We are gearing up for a fight that may determine the future of our country. We showed in 2010 that we are up for this battle, just one of many we will fight in the long battle to win this war. Make no mistake; this is a war, not of bullets, but of ideas. The liberals in Congress have shown that they can't even produce a budget, even though it's required by the Constitution. They have shown that they cannot create jobs or solve the housing crisis even though they had complete control of all branches of government for two years, 2008 to 2010. Why should we believe that they can do it now or after the 2012 elections?. The fact is they haven't even tried. The point of this message is to get you ready for this battle starting right now. We can't wait until election time to get involved. We must start right now. All of us need to talk to friends and neighbors and help educate them about the Tea Party Patriots and what we are trying to do to save our country. It doesn't take a lot for you to make a difference. Each person has the ability to make a difference. It's called "The Power of One".

The book covers how we were founded and our forty year plan to take us back to our Founding Fathers principles and adherence to the Constitution and Bill of Rights. September Luncheon

Our next luncheon will be held Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Miner's Foundry in Nevada City, 11:30 a.m.
The speaker will be Ralph Migliozzi, who will discuss "How Government Regulation is Unintentionally Waging War on the Housing Industry."
Ralph Migliozzi began his career in California, as a lender, in 1982 as manager trainee in consumer finance. He served as a manager at Great Western Bank for two years prior to accepting a position as Vice President at mortgage brokerage in 1987. Securing his California Real Estate Broker's License in 1993, he formed his own corporation in the same year. He is also holds Mortgage Loan Originator endorsement in California, under the Department of Real Estate. He currently hosts a show know as Mortgage Magazine on KNCO 830 Am in Grass Valley, CA.
The Miner's Foundry is located 325 Spring Street in Nevada City, next to the winery. The meeting is open to everyone. A donation of $5 is requested to cover cost of the lunch. Come early and BRING A FRIEND. We'll see you there! Note: there is limited free parking around back, so please try to carpool when possible.

| Free On-line Constitution Course Offered
Starts September 15
| | A free 6-part series titles "Introduction to the Constitution" is being offered on-line by Hillsdale College.
The series begins September 15 at 9 a.m. with Hillsdale's Second Annual Constitution Day Celebration, broadcast live via webcast. This event features Congressman Paul Ryan and political commentator Charles Krauthammer, along with other speeches and panels on topics related to the Constitution. If you are unable to watch the live webcast, the event will be archived for later viewing. Every Monday thereafter, a new lecture video featuring Dr. Larry Arnn will be available for viewing. You can also watch the previous week's session using our video archive.

Election Slogan Contest Call for Entries
We are creating a contest which all our members can enter. The object is to come up with a slogan for the 2012 election that we can use on tee-shirts, bumper stickers, and other advertising. It has to be short (5 to 7 words) with a clear message. You may enter as many slogans as you wish. The entries will be judged by your Board of Directors. The prize (not determined at this time) will be worth at least $100.

August Events A Big Success

We had two events last month: Movie Night and the Nevada County Fair. The movie was "Waiting for Superman". It's a documentary about kids in the the very poor school districts trying to get into private or charter schools where only a few kids are picked by lottery. It's truly heart breaking to see parents and kids trying to get a good education and can't because of the way public schools are controlled by corrupt unions. Because of seniority, many terrible teachers cannot be fired or even transferred. When courageous administrators try to be innovative, they are stymied at every turn by unions and their rigid rules. I hope you will rent this movie so you can see how good people and kids are forced to accept awful conditions because of unions.
Our members seem to enjoy movie night and the free popcorn and attendance is always good. We intend to have more in the near future.
We had a booth at the Nevada County Fair for the third year in a row. Our location was terrific location and the response from the public was great as usual. Our volunteers did a wonderful job talking to people about the NCTPP and signing up new members, We are now close to 3,000 members and still growing. Working at the booth is a lot of fun for everyone and we also get to meet members on a one-to-one basis. I hope you will join us next year as a volunteer.
