| Dear Tea Party Patriot,
There is a shirt on the National Website, http://www.teapartypatriotsstore.org/new-products.htm (see below) that is perfect for today and up through our November elections. It says, "We'll Remember in November ...Fiscal Responsibility, Limited Government, Free Markets " on the back, and the Tea Party Patriots Logo on the front. We are asking that you order it now, wear it proudly now, and then wear it to the polls on November 2nd. Some of you might have read in The Union Newspaper that Patty Meckler was denied entrance to the polls in the last election because she was wearing a Tea Party Patriot shirt. Mark then brought a copy of the California Electioneering Laws to the Polls and was told that it was an error on the part of the person in charge of the polling location and that everyone involved at every polling place would be made aware that the Tea Party Patriots are not political party and that we abide by the California Electioneering Laws and that we can wear our shirts into the polling location.
Wear it proudly and wear it often.
Please feel free to carry this CA 2009 Elections code 319.5 which states:
319.5. "Electioneering" means the visible display or audible dissemination of information that advocates for or against any candidate or measure on the ballot within 100 feet of a polling place, an elections official's office, or a satellite location under Section 3018. Prohibited electioneering information includes, but is not limited to, any of the following:
(a) A display of a candidate's name, likeness, or logo. (b) A display of a ballot measure's number, title, subject, or logo. (c) Buttons, hats, pencils, pens, shirts, signs, or stickers containing electioneering information. (d) Dissemination of audible electioneering information.
