| Fellow Tea Party Patriots:
I received this request from a good friend and a NorCal TPP board member, Steve Cavolt.
| Hello Stan,
I've been meaning to speak to you about this project that I'm working on here in Auburn and I keep forgetting every time I've seen you. This is a superstore center site, probably will be a Costco or a Wal-Mart type of store, Jim Conkey is the property owner and I am his Project Coordinator. We have a Board of Supervisors hearing on Tuesday the 28th at 1:30 and was wondering if you know any people that would be willing to show up in support of the project and / or speak in favor of it. I know many people from G.V. Nevada City drive down to Roseville / Rocklin to shop at those stores so I wondered if you know anyone that would be willing to help me out with showing up and / or speaking.
I do have people who are attending and speaking, in fact I've got some very good speakers but I need as many as possible because the opposition which is a small contingent will be there in force too....If you read my April 2nd article in the paper that I have attached it will give you all the details and history. Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks much,
Steve |
This is important to those of us who have to go "down the hill" to get some of the things we can't get in Nevada County. An Auburn drive will sure save us time and money over going to Roseville. At least we will keep the money closer. Elaine and I intend to show our support.
Let me make this clear, We support buying local first, and we do. But, there are times when we can't fine the item or selection we want. That is the only times we don't shop locally.
If you agree, then try to show up. If you feel otherwise, we certainly respect your decision. To prevent negative publicity Steve asked that we DO NOT wear our TPP t-shirts for this meeting.
