Greetings!

What have we learned in 2,065 years?

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance."
   - Cicero (55 B.C. )

Does all this sound familiar? This is just another reason that your vote is so important!

Check out the Coming Events section. We've added this to our newsletters to list the dates and details of coming events in one place so you won't miss a thing. If there are any cancellations, there will be a section called Cancelled Events. There are links to these sections in the box above labeled In This Issue. Click a link to jump to a section.

We now have tee-shirts (men & women's), hooded sweatshirts (with and without zippers), hats, pins , buttons and other items available at Mark Davis Plumbing. They are graciously acting as our outlet Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. They are located at 12815 Colfax Highway in Colfax. Thank you Mark & Jodi for your support.

The Next Generation Committee is having their first meeting on September 16th. This committee is made up of young patriots from 16 years old up to 40 years old. They are the future of America. About 70 people have signed up to take part in this group. They will not be separate from our main group, but will have a seat on our Board of Directors and will be able to influence our decisions. We will listen to them. The first meeting will be held at the Nevada County Contractors Board, 149 Crown Point Court off Whispering Pines.

The Tea Party Patriots is grateful to Barbara Bashaell, Director of the Contractors Board, and their entire Board for their help.

We are going to be starting radio commercials on KNCO on September 13th. On these commercials you will hear your friends and neighbors explaining why they joined the Tea Party Patriots and encouraging you to vote. If you hear someone you know on the air, call them and thank them for their support.

Putting on events, doing commercials on KNCO, printing literature and developing all the things that make us a great organization costs money. Nobody gets paid a dime and all monies are accounted for by our treasurer. It's a lot of work but rewarding in knowing that we are doing something positive for our country and our community.

We are always thankful for your much-needed donations in any amount. Please send you donations to:

Make checks payable to NCTPP.

Coming Events

September 9th -- General Meeting -- 7 to 9 p.m.
Horseman's Club, Grass Valley

We have received lots of emails and phone calls from our members asking us to put on a general meeting so that you can meet each other and ask questions of our leadership team.

This will be your opportunity to learn everything you ever wanted to know about the Tea Party Patriots. Come prepared to ask questions, get answers and see a short presentation about the Tea Party Patriots. You will meet many people who are just regular folks like you. Bring your friends and family. You don't have to be a member to come to this meeting. We will serve beverages and snacks. If you wish to bring some snacks for others, that would be welcome.

Directions: When you come up Brunswick from Nevada City Highway, it is 7/10ths of a mile on the left, just a little past the last shopping center on the left.

September 12th -- 9/12 Rally -- 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
McClellan Park, Sacramento

This is going to be one of the most important events of the year! It's a multi-state gathering at McClellan Park in Sacramento. We've sent you info on this a couple of times and it's getting better and better with more speakers, including Mark Meckler. This is an event that everyone will be talking about and YOU don't want to miss it. There's plenty of parking at only $5 per car.

There will be lots of food and beverages that are being sold by a very fine catering company. You will even be able to purchase tee-shirts, hats, and other fun stuff.

The NCTPP will have a bright red pop-up tent where we can all meet. I look forward to seeing you there.

Cancelled Events

We have decided to cancel our Wine Tasting on September 17th, and the October Gala on October 22nd. We are at a critical point in our history and we feel that our priorities must be to educate the community about the propositions and help everyone understand that their individual vote is more important than ever. We won't give up on fun events, that's a promise. But, now is the time to work....and vote. This would be a good time to talk to your friends, family and neighbors and encourage them to vote.
