Greetings!

You have been asking for this
and we are finally going to do it!

We are going to have a general meeting for everyone that is a member of the Tea Party Patriots and anyone else that is interested in our movement. This is your opportunity to mingle with your like-minded fellow patriots and ask question of Elaine and I and others.

The most important part of the meeting will be your input. What can we do for you? What kind of classes can we put on that you would find interesting to attend at one of these meetings? Is there any literature that you would like us to create? How can we get you more involved?

The conversation is open to anything you wish to discuss.

Bring your neighbors, friends, and family. This your opportunity to make new friends and have a great lime.

Date:September 9th
Time:7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Place:Nevada County Horseman's Club
From Brunswick and the freeway, go 7/10 of a mile up Brunswick.
It will be on the left-hand side of the street.

Refreshments will be served and there will be a no-host bar.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Your Tea Party Patriots had a great time at the Fair. We had a beautiful booth, fabulous location with high visibility, lots and lots of people coming to out booth and sensational volunteers...as usual. Everyone had a great time, just ask one of them.

We added well over 500 new members, which brings our total membership in Nevada County to just under 2,500. We had 11 t-shirts left and no hats by the end of the show. There will be more coming in during the next few weeks.

While I was at the booth, I was asked to teach civics classes at Nevada Union and Bear River High Schools as well as speak to the NC Retired Public Employees and the Nevada County 4H convention. Very exciting stuff!

We have been trying to get 18 to 40 year old people involved in our Next Generation committee. The Next Generation now has 68 people between 18 and 40 that signed up to be part of this committee. We will have our first meeting very soon. If you or someone you know would like to be part of this group. please contact me.

Call for 300 Sponsors from the National Tea Party Patriots

These three massive 9/12 gatherings are free for everyone to attend. But the expense of putting them together is very large. In order to keep them free while still offering adequate facilities and a compelling program, we need a few individuals to support us with donations. So we've created two groups. Click here to find out about a special opportunity for those that want to help sponsor the 9/12 rallys.

Lobby Day
Tuesday, August 24, 2010
9:30 - 4:00pm
State Capitol
Room #4202
Cost: FREE

All of us experience times when we are outraged by what we see on the news. Times when we are infuriated by an anti-family bill that has been passed, or a disgraceful legal decision from an activist judge, or the statements of an elected official who is diametrically opposed to our values system and even our very own Constitution.

Lobby Day gives citizens a toolbox for understanding the issues clearly and communicating effectively.

This year CRI is teaming up with the NorCal Tea Party Patriots and hosting a lobby day about California's budget. Government needs to live within its means, not depend on perpetual tax raises as a crutch to hobble on with continued overspending.

After attending Lobby Day at the Capitol, you will be equipped, encouraged, and confident. You will not helplessly stand by and watch your culture disintegrate or taxes raised, you will make a difference.

We empower people who have never walked into a legislator's office and we educate repeat attendees -- so they understand the issues clearly and communicate effectively.

Lobby Day Sponsors

Assemblyman Dan Logue
Assemblyman Roger Niello
Assemblyman Ted Gaines
Senator George Runner
Mimi Walters, Republican Nominee for State Treasurer
