Your Nevada County Tea Party Patriots had a great Fourth of July. We had a tremendous float. Russ Steele has some great pictures posted on his blog (use the link in the Quick Links box to the left). Mark Meckler, the co-founder of the Tea Party Patriots national movement led the parade, as he did last year.
We handed out American flags, Tea Party Patriots bumper stickers and red, white and blue TPP bracelets.
Most of the Nevada City crowd was very enthusiastic towards us. There were a few people who gave us a "thumbs down" as we went by. That is their constitutional right and we appreciate them being there. It was time for 200 or so Tea Party Patriots who marched with us to show our support for our countrymen & women and to the many who gave life and limb so we are free to celebrate in a peaceful and respectful manner. |
