Our events committee did an outstanding job as did all the volunteers who set-up and tore-down after the event. Many thanks need to go to KNCO & The Union for guiding us and handling their role as moderators.
April 15th, Tax Day, was another big day for the Tea Party Patriots across the country. The NCTPP had three full buses (168 people) go to Sacramento from the Nevada County Fairgrounds, plus many people drove down or took the trains. The weather was great, the crowds were enthusiastic, the speakers, as usual, were inspirational, and everyone had a great time. Ginny Rapini of the NorCal Tea Party Patriots and a coordinator for the Sacramento TPP and her group put on the best event that anyone could imagine. It was flawless. In fact, the California Highway Patrol said it was the best that they had ever seen.
As usual, there were no problems and the place was left as clean as when we got there. The media can say whatever they want but, we know the truth. We are Americans first. We don't leave places a mess, we don't cause any problems for law enforcement, we don't break windows, turn-over cars, loot stores, or scream obscenities. We do exactly what our Constitution says we can do. We peacefully assemble to air our grievances. Yet, we are criticized by the media because they don't like our message. They call us thugs, uneducated, wing-nuts and much worse. Why? Because, they are scared to death of our growing power. They read the polls. They know that the Tea Party is more popular than the Democrats or Republicans. They are invested in the status quo, and we threaten the status quo. I consider their name-calling a compliment.
