 The new product generation is again based on a small plate made of technical ceramics (aluminium oxide Al2O3) with the dimensions 15mm x 12mm x 1.6mm. Efficiency was able to be improved by up to 11% due to technical progress.  Philips Lumileds has fully launched LUXEON M which is now in volume production. The new emitter has already been approved for street lighting in major US cities with designs to be shown at Light + Building. LUXEON M's high lumen output-more than 1100 lumens- and typical voltage of 11.2V drives down system cost and improves system performance through the use of low cost, highly efficient drivers.  At this year's Light & Building 2012 trade show in Frankfurt am Main, Germany (hall 4.0, stand F17), MAZeT GmbH will unveil two new ICs for the target application of LED light control. The JENCOLOR MTCSiCF color sensor in its space-saving QFN16 housing (4 x 4 x 0.9 mm) provides colorimetry in accordance with the CIE1931/DIN5033 standard. The sensor outputs send photocurrents and can be directly integrated into LAB/LUV color spaces as XYZ values. Read more »
