Dear Friends,

Hello!  I send love and thanks to you as we enter the new moon of September.  (in Virgo)

I would like to suggest loving the Indus River this month.  This is the river that flooded in Pakistan.  The Indus River was incorporated into our water meditation one other time, in July 2005.  At that time, it was chosen because I became aware of the endangered river dolphins in the Indus.  Unfortunately, with the flood, they may be more challenged.

This flood has been of epic proportions, and the people who survived are having a very difficult time.
All life in and around the Indus River would benefit from a moment of loving kindness.

Oil spilling globally

Since the last newsletter....not only has there been the ongoing Gulf of Mexico situation, but there have also been several other oil spills.

The energetic given through Sharon McErlane is a profound and easy meditation that can be done as these things occur.
This is a good interview:

I lived in Kalamazoo, Michigan for 7 years...through college and afterward.  Kalamazoo is a Native American word that means "place where the waters boil".  Not knowing for sure...
I have thought for years that I know what this refers to. Especially in the fall, warm days and cold nights produce a misty morning fog on the river.  The Kalamazoo River drains in to Lake Michigan.

International Coastal Clean Up Day

With all that is happening to the water these days, I think our best attitude is self-empowerment.

If we contribute in some way, even a small way, to the health & beauty of a local body of water, it is helpful.

If we allow ourselves a moment of enchantment with the beauty inherent in water; in nature, we are enriched in deep ways.

We inherited a planet full and alive with beauty.  Taking an action to enhance the beauty around us is a worthwhile use of our time and energy.
The Native American saying "walk in beauty" is a wonderful guiding principle.

The 25th International Coastal Clean up Day is September 25, 2010.

I would love to see pictures from those who participate in a clean up effort.  I think those in our water mediation family would also love to see what our family is up to.  I will include your pictures in the next newsletter!  Anyone who wants to join me along Oak Creek...please email me at: [email protected]

You are all blessings...walking on the planet.  Thanks!

Most Sincerely,
