It always amazes me watching ticket sales for JazzTrax Festivals. Because someone buys a few tickets almost every day of the year. I can't get into your mind as to when you decide to go on-line and choose your seats or the old fashioned way of calling Tix.com and talking to an operator (the information is all there at
JazzTrax.com ... quicker too!).
I know we already have June's entire Artist Line-Up announced for our new on the lake venue in Big Bear Lake, California. I know that we've already announced a host of headliners for Catalina Island in the Fall. I think those living outside California or elsewhere in the World simply are, this far out, planning their vacations for the year. And when you fly to get to the JazzTrax Festival, unless it's a short flight within California, festival goer's often make it their vacation plans, extending their stay here in Southern California. We have a growing number who check in on Friday and leave on a Monday 10 days later. An Island vacation that encompasses two JazzTrax Weekends and the Unplugged at the Wrigley Ranch, in between.
But let me put a bug up your ear on why I really, really encourage you to book your hotel and tickets for June's JazzTrax Festival on the Shoreline of Big Bear Lake... soon!
The festival is on the grounds of the Marina Resort. I can't tell you, I can't emphasize enough, how easy your weekend will be if you book a Hotel Ticket Package at the Marina Resort. You may be looking at the stage, from your bedroom window. I'm trying to keep you from getting crabby when you arrive. Keeping you from having to drive a couple miles from around the lake, or Moonridge, or anywhere. But instead, arriving at our Host Hotels that are right there! Avoid the following: "Honey, we could have stayed all weekend, ON THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS and simply walked across the street and up into the Village for restaurants." Heck, there's even a bowling alley right across the street... and a delightful Italian Bistro underneath it.
The Marina Resort has only so many rooms. Those who nab them will be the luckiest few. The furthest they'll have to walk all weekend, is maybe 2 or 3 blocks to a restaurant, if even that far.

The Robin Hood Resort another Host Hotel is right across the darn street! We've made it so easy to attend this Summer's JazzTrax, as long as you don't wait till those hotels are full. There are plenty more, but these Host Hotels are the Creme de la Creme. Too easy!
So maybe those purchasing tickets, and we had a huge sales week last week, in February and March, simply are those who know......those who purchase JazzTrax Festival tickets earliest, not only get the best seats, they also nab the absolute best overnight accommodations. You can too!
