Happy New Year and welcome to Twenty-Ten. Our first JazzTrax Guest of the New Year was one of our 2009 Debut Artist finds. Towson, Maryland Guitarist Drew Davidsen. We only just learned of him in June. Had him in the JazzTrax Studio in July to debut "Around Again" and on the Island in Live Performance in October.  This weekend we're going back to his Desert Storm Days in the U.S. Navy. He tells stories this weekend of being turned on to George Benson by a helicopter pilot off Kuwait and to Acoustic Alchemy by a Colonel. And how his military service in that early 90's war turned him towards a career with his Guitar. Fascinating stories this weekend mixing war and Smooth Jazz, but then, that's what our show is all about. 2005 Bona Fide 'Soul Lounge'

For this weekend's JazzTrax Archives Album we're trippin' back five years to what was is still the most current Bona Fide release 2005's Soul Lounge. The funky instrumental Baltimore side of Slim Man. Simply too cool and you absolutely need to turn the music up while listening.

Still waiting for the very first Brand New 2010 CD to roll in. I'm down by the Lake measuring out a seating chart for the new JazzTrax Summer Concert site right on the Lake, right on the Water, in the Village of Big Bear Lake. The specifics are underway... more details later in January.

And... I'm booking October's 33 Artist Line-Up right now for Catalina Island 2010... and watching my Chargers very, very, closely. Let the play-offs begin!
