JazzTrax Best of 2009 Special
The Best Of the past 52 weeks
All that was brand new in 2009 goes on display on the JazzTrax Radio Show this week. Up until Christmas you can still listen back on last week's JazzTrax Christmas with Norman Brown. But the next JazzTrax Show, already available to listen to on-line right now, is our JazzTrax Best of 2009 Radio Special. You've seen our Top 10's posted on-line all month, but now it comes to you in full living radio color. Listen to the JazzTrax Top 10 Songs and Albums of the Year. Listen to the JazzTrax Debut Artist of the Year. Listen to a portion of the JazzTrax Best Live Performance and the JazzTrax Best Smooth Jazz Vocal. Mingled throughout are the very BEST Conversations the past year with the 52 Stars of Smooth Jazz who dropped into the JazzTrax Studio with Brand New CD's. You'll hear some fascinating moments in conversation with the likes of Peter White, Najee, George Benson and a heck of a lot more. Listen right now or listen, still, to the JazzTrax Christmas with Norman Brown Show. |

Producer's Notes: Longer slopes and Ping Pong Tables and ... Woof! |
|
|
I'm off Skiing with my Son this week of Christmas. Much longer slopes than we do all the time near the JazzTrax Studio in the Southern California Mountains. We've gone to another thick of the woods. And I'm still trying to figure how to put together the new Ping Pong Table I got my son for Christmas. The boy is my family and we're planning to add another member... one that barks. I hope your week is filled with such travails as following snowy trails or confusing directions on putting together a Christmas gift. As we await the very first Brand New Smooth Jazz Releases of 2010. I just confirmed a couple artists for next October on Catalina Island. Should I let the cat out of the bag? Well, Mindi is coming back to both Unplugged (on a different weekend) and back to the main Ballroom stage. And I'm pretty certain Euge Groove is returning too. In January we'll post exact dates and weekends and a few more confirmed for the JazzTrax Live Performance Stage. And it looks like the Big Bear Lake JazzTrax Summer Music Festival is a go. And it looks like the names just named are coming there too. What will be different on Father's Day Weekend in the Southern California Mountains? A lot. The venue moves to The Village of Big Bear Lake. The Robin Hood Resort will be home base with the performances, just across the street on a lawn on the lake! Finally JazzTrax arrives right on the water of Big Bear Lake. It will be 'Ski In, Ski Out', even though it will be Summer and 75 to 80 degrees... because you can park upon arrival, at your hotel, and walk to the JazzTrax Festival and also walk right into The Village to eat and shop. Once you arrive you won't need to drive at all, the entire weekend. And (and this is big...) we're hoping to float the stage, out on the lake. I can only book Stars of Smooth Jazz who can swim. Just kidding on that, but it's gonna be swimmingly amazing next June at the Big Bear Lake JazzTrax Festival's brand new location right on The Lake. Merry Christmas everybody, My skiis are pointed down the slopes.
