I am pleased to announce that our next mission will be to Chengdu Children's Hospital located in Sichuan province - in southwest China.
This was one of four places we visited during our June trip, and we felt this area of the country, devastated by the 2008 earthquake, provided tremendous opportunity for us to help disabled orphans.
During this mission we will be performing orthopedic, plastic
and urological surgery on children ranging in age from 6 months to 18 years
old. Some of these children have endured years of pain and humiliation. We will be working very closely with the Chengdu hospital staff and look forward
to many years of missions together. We will also hold a series of
lectures on medical topics which will be open to medical professionals
throughout the province. We are very excited about this new opportunity to
help hundreds of children. We will be leaving New York on October 13 and returning on October 23rd.
Please help give our team a terrific send off with your show of support at this year's Bike/Hike scheduled for Saturday October 9th.
