| Lifetime Warranty Plan |
Have you ever heard an offer that was too good to be true?
Well we thought we had as well, but over the last few years we have been investigating a warranty offered by automotive lubricant and chemical company BG Products.
BG has been producing high quality products for over 35 years and a few years ago they started offering a 240,000 KM warranty on major vehicle components when you use their products to service them. About a year ago they upped that warranty to the life of the vehicle.
This warranty is simple, administered by us and can be transferred to anyone in your family.
All that is required is to service your vehicle as normal using their product. The engine oil must be changed at least every 7,000 KMs and the other covered components every 60,000 KMs.
Covered components are:
- Engine (Internally lubricated components)
- Transmission (Inernally lubricated items)
- Drivetrain (Differentials and Transfer Case)
- Brake Calipers, Master Cylinder, ABS Hydraulic Components
- Radiator, Water Pump, Heater Core
- Power Steering Pump, Rack and Pinion/Gearbox
The only condition is that the vehicle servicing must start before 120,000 KMs have elapsed.

"I miss my car when its in for service and I just want to see it back sitting in my driveway," says Irv Gordon, 68, a retired schoolteacher who lives in New York.
The average car on the road is nine years old and logs 20,000 KMs a year, but not Gordon, he has driven the sporty red Volvo he bought back in 1966 a lot more than that, an astounding 2.7 million miles.
The secret to automotive longevity turns out to be no secret at all: it's maintenance. "Do what needs to be done when it needs to be done," says Gordon. Sounds too simple to be true, doesn't it? Yet in talking to the uncrowned king of the road for whom a million miles on a vehicle is just a beginning, the same advice keeps emerging: read the owner's manual and stick to the maintenance schedule. Start paying close attention at 50,000 kilometres and every 50,000 thereafter, Gordon says. Keeping your car in shape pays. In fact, you can end up saving more than you spent on it in the first place. Think about it: how much does it really cost to maintain your car? Now, suppose you bought a new car for $20,000 and financed $18,000 of that at 5 percent for 48 months. That's a $400 monthly payment, or $4,800 a year. Why add that to your budget when the cost of holding on to a 5- or 10- or 15-year-old vehicle is just around $1,500 a year? Even if the maintenance costs were twice as high, it still beats those car payments by many thousands-over five years. In short, driving a car for five years after it's paid off saves you the equivalent of a new car. Another five years, another new car. And so on. Our Yearly Physical is a comprehensive inspection of all your vehicles critical components, maintenance requirements as well as its creature comforts. If you are wondering if your current car is worth keeping or if its time to move on to a newer set of wheels, it can give you the information you need to make the decision that is right for you.

One of your cars options that you rely on the most without ever thinking about it is the Air Conditioner. We don't think about it until it stops working that is. Twenty years ago A/C was not a common option and we lived just fine without it.
Now that most cars come with A/C as standard equipment we are now all used to having it. Maybe its "Global Warming" or maybe we have been spoiled but it sure seems hotter these last few years.
Getting your cars A/C system into proper working order, before the real heat of summer hits us or a vacation road trip, is a smart idea. If you're A/C is not cooling well, giving off an unwanted odor, or is not performing other functions properly, we can help. Tip: A functioning A/C system will defrost your windows quicker as it dries the air before blowing it at the windshield.
Call today to have your air conditioning evaluated or have us diagnose why its not performing as you would like. | |
