Gamka -we've got it

February  2012
Greetings!

Primary election fever is in the air and whoever said, "Why pay money to have your family tree traced; go into politics and your opponents will do it for you" was so right.

What I keep hoping to hear are ideas, not smears. How will the candidates for the Presidency, including the incumbent,  bring us out of our doldrums and back to jobs and prosperity? By the time the Florida primaries are done everyone running will have had some portion of their background exposed and whatever it is, there will be a sordid side. None of us are perfect and some of us are less perfect than others but come on! And have you noticed that spurious allegations are accepted as fact and so promoted. Stuff that would make a juicy headline in the National Enquirer, calumny that would not even be labeled as circumstantial  in a court of law, is being presented as gospel. Nothing is sacred! I mean is it so awful to be a Mormon? It sure ain't devil worship.  (My apologies to any Devil Worshipers out there, do not take this personally.)

In truth, the Constitution guarantees us a free press but says nothing about a fair one. Far too often, the candidates are asked debate questions that fail to bring out reasons why they should be the next President. Lately, the questions pit one candidate against the other. They do not need encouragement.

And while we are assailed by the "he said, she said" and finger pointing, the economy in general  and for the Construction Industry in particular, is not showing enough improvement, no matter how it is spun.  Twist the metrics all you like, those phones are not ringing off the hook, are they?

In the meantime, as the debates rage, what is going on in Washington is being ignored. As of  January 24th, 1,000 days had  passed since Congress passed a federal budget. Would you let three years go by without balancing your check book? This is just slipping through the cracks while our President is filling a One Billion Dollar War Chest.  Why would he or any candidate need that kind of money for a campaign? Am I being naive in thinking that good ideas should be enough? Never mind, don't answer.

I keep hoping for the resurrection of Ronald Reagan.  He was the one who said, "Politics is supposed to be the second oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first."

"Ninety eight percent of the adults in this country are decent, hardworking, honest Americans. It's the other lousy two percent that get all the publicity. But then, We elected them." said Lily Tomlin. Oy.

It ain't over till the fat lady sings and her aria has not yet begun.

Sincerely,

Power Failure Insurance
BE-9000ER Generator

Winter storms do more than pile up snow. Blowing wind and ice build-up pull down power lines and cause power outages. Do you have a temporary power plant to give you a source of emergency electricity? How much temporary power do you need? That is up to you: a few lights, the refrigerator, a small electric heater or more, it is an individual choice. Don't forget that sump pumps need electricity too!  You do not have to power up every electric gizmo you own in a "temporary" outage, just enough to get you through it. Draining your 401K or  the kid's scholarship fund will not be required, we promise.  Gamka has the "Power Ease" generator power solution, 3100 watts, packed with features but very affordable, beginning at $475.00.

Don't feel like pulling on a recoil starter? Choose an electric start model. Get the 9,000 watt unit and share the price and current with your neighbor. Just want to watch the game and use your computer? The inverter generator model provides a squeaky clean electric source. The BE-3100PR with 3100 watts (max AC Output), 7 hour run time and weight of just 121 lbs. dry is  $475.00.  More powerful units are in stock too. The BE-6500ER has 6500 watts of maximum output, is electric starting and is on wheels. Price? $825.00 The similar BE-9000ER is $950.00  and the  I3500, 3500 watt inverter is $900.00.

Add $35.00 for set up, servicing and test running or Do It Yourself. Gamka will deliver locally for $20. And don't forget Heavy Duty Extension Cords, Fuel Cans and Gasoline Stabilizer, Gamka has them, too. Come to Gamka's showroom and take your pick. For more generator information contact us at Gamka. Better yet, drop in and see the line for your self. Our showroom is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
