Wisconsin pediatricians received six national recognitions during the recent AAP District VI meeting held in Anaheim, CA. WIAAP will formally present the awards at our fall meeting, to be held on Friday October 28, 2011 in Oconomowoc.

AAP Past President to Lead Let's Move Campaign

The White House has announced that American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Immediate Past President Judith S. Palfrey, MD, FAAP is the new executive director of First Lady Michelle Obama's Let's Move! initiative.

Let's Move! is a comprehensive initiative dedicated to solving the problem of obesity within a generation, so that children born today will grow up healthier and able to pursue their dreams.

ElectionAAP National Balloting Now Open

Please ensure your dues are current to participate in the national AAP election, now open. Voting members receive an e-mail announcement from the AAP Election Coordinator containing their personalized link to the election ballot. The ballot link may also be accessed by logging on to the Member Center of the AAP Web site. For those members whose membership status is in good standing, the link will take them directly into the election ballot.

WIAAP Immediate Past President Jeffrey Lamont is a candidate for the District VI National Nominating Committee.
