ANNUAL "HOODOO FOOD!" RECIPE ROUND-UP DEADLINE!
Yes, it is time once again for all of you inspired Hoodoo Cooks to share your magical culinary secrets with the Sisters of the Conjure Kitchen. Last year's booklet "Hoodoo Food! The Best of the 2010 Conjure Cook-Off and Recipe Round-Up"
was such a success that we are doing it again for 2011, as a special fund-raising project sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary of Missionary Independent Spiritual Church.
For more information on the Conjure Cook-Off, seethe Hoodoo Food! Conjure Cook-Off and Recipe Round-Up!
For an inspirational list of culinary magical herbs, see Helpful Hints for Cooking with Magical Herbs!
Anyone can contribute recipes for publication in this year's "Hoodoo Food!"
cook booklet. In addition, Robin Petersen will give her annual workshop on Spiritual Cookery on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Hoodoo Workshop party, local recipe contributors will bring their sorcerous dishes in for sharing and taste-testing, and prizes will be awarded to the top three magical cooks. MONDAY, May 2 - FRIDAY, May 6, 2011: APPRENTICESHIP WEEK
The Lucky Mojo Apprenticeship Program is a FREE three-week series of lectures, personal training, and hands-on guidance in the history, preparation, and use of conjure supplies. It is offered in separate one-week segments. The first Apprenticeship week for 2011 features WEEK THREE of the program and leads up to our annual HOODOO WORKSHOPS AND POTLUCK PARTY on May 7-8.
May 2 - May 6, 2011 - Week Three Apprenticeship:
Monday: Bath Crystals and Soaps Lecture; Making Bath Crystals
Tuesday: Making, Labelling, and Praying Over Bath Crystals
Wednesday: Sachet Powders Lecture; Making Sachet Powders
Thursday: Making and Praying Over Sachet Powders

To join in the Apprenticeship Program you must be a Graduate in good standing of my Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course . Non-graduates are eligible for Apprenticeship training if they bring all of their Homework with them when they come. The three week-long programs need not be taken in order, although for continuity's sake, it is preferred. Apprentices are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement, to provide their own room and board, and to attend all 40 hours of studying, learning, and making spiritual supplies. Two party meals are supplied during the week, a Potluck Lunch catered by the Lucky Mojo Staff and an Apprentices Dinner catered by Robin Petersen. Upon finishing all three weeks of Apprenticeship, a certificate is issued at no cost, signifying that the training was completed.
If you want to attend the May 2011 Apprenticeship, email Robin Petersen NOW at firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone her at the shop -- 707-887-1521 -- Tuesday through Saturday, 9 to 5 PST.
