Every year Lucky Mojo hosts a free Potluck Party for customers, friends, and family. The date is always in early May, on a weekend, when hundreds of Rose bushes around the place are in bloom. (The bloom time of the Roses also happens to more or less coincide with Miss Cat's birthday, May 12th.)

Last year we added something new to our usual one-day Potluck Party -- a full day of Hoodoo Workshops where students and the public could receive hands-on training from some of the best Practitioners in the country and learn how to make mojo bags, dress and pray over candles, perform a spiritual foot-washing, and work spells by the guidance of the Moon. These workshops were held off-site, as we had the impression that prospective attendees would find it difficult to travel to the shop for the day. The turn-out was excellent -- but to our surprise, feedback from attendees indicated that folks actually would have preferred that the event be conducted in Forestville, at the shop.

Well, we listen to our customers, so this year we are happy to announce TWO FULL DAYS OF LUCKY MOJO PARTY AND WORKSHOPS -- MAY 9th and 10th, 2009 -- IN FORESTVILLE, CALIFORNIA! To make it even easier and more fun, this year you can select as many Workshops as you choose, and pay for each Workshop individually. All Workshops feature hands-on instruction, with materials provided, so you can make and take home an example of what you have learned. Fees range from $10.00 to $25.00 per Workshop, depending on the cost of materials provided, and all fees go directly to the teachers of each Workshop.

We have a great line-up of teachers for this event, and we will start announcing them next week. For now, just remember MAY 9th and 10th in Forestville. You can attend one day or both, one Workshop or several -- or you can just come for the socializing and all-day Free Potluck Party at Lucky Mojo.

Also, for graduates of the Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course only: During the 5-day work-week prior to the Party and Workshops (May 4th - 9th) Miss Cat will be conducting three of the requisite nine Apprenticeship lectures and training sessions. Attendees will be certified for 1/3 of their Apprenticeship, with the 2nd and 3rd portions following in 2010 and 2011, thus enabling Graduates to obtain the Apprenticeship Certificate in convenient installments.
