AAACTA'S Middle School Program Wraps Up 11th Year!
AAACTA's 2012 Middle School Program posted winning numbers: 175+ kids, the most ever, led by 48 volunteer coaches - 27 adults and 21 high school players. Three intrepid volunteers, Helen Peters, Barbara Wasneski, and Linda Woodland coordinated the program's zillion details.
The season ended with a rockin' ralleyball tournament at the UM Varsity Tennis Center on June 8, where the smiles were, well, too numerous to count. PHOTOS: Teams | Ralleyball Tournament
One parent says it best... I just want to thank every last person who worked so hard on the 6th grade tennis tournament this past Friday. From all the coaching and mentoring that took place at each school, to the wonderful rally tournament on the beautiful courts at U of M, from t-shirts to pizza, from busing to water bottles -- you were very generous with your time, your organization, and your considerable talent! You put a racquet in the hands of someone who probably wouldn't have tried and we are so appreciative that our daughter was exposed to this great sport with eager support and teamwork from your fine organization. |
