Middle School Volunteers
 AAACTA's after-school program at Ann Arbor middle schools is off and running this week!
  • Interested in being a substitute volunteer?
    3 to 4pm. Clague &  Scarlett on Mondays; Tappan, AA Open & Slauson boys on Tuesdays; Slauson girls on Wednesdays; Forsythe on Thursdays.      
  • How about helping out at the season-ending tournament, Friday, June 8th, at VTC

Singles Ladder for Retirees 
Ron Swartz, local tennis player, is organizing some congenial good fun. 
  • Players close to or over 70 years old   
  • USTA rating of about 3.0.   
  • Outdoors or indoors, whenever and wherever 2 people agree to play
  • Ron will e-mail the ladder list to members about once a week if there has been changes.   
  • Challenge rules, number of sets, etc can be decided by the members vie e-mail discussion and vote. 
The general purpose is to have a list of congenial, about equal players, so one can easily find a match for good fun and exercise whenever the weather permits.

Coaches' Workshop

Here's to AAACTA's Middle School coaches who came out to the Varsity Tennis Center on Saturday, April 23.  35 coaches worked on - and played at - the fine points of teaching beginner tennis. The USTA workshop was coordinated by Helen Peters.
