ZGS Launches Multi-Platform Voting Initiative
ZGS's media properties are launching a local public awareness campaign to encourage voter registration and civic engagement in support of Telemundo Network's national efforts. Vota Por Tu Futuro is a non-partisan effort that aims to increase participation in the Hispanic community. Through public service announcements and active participation in community events, the efforts will underscore the importance of citizenship, provide information on registering to vote, keep audiences informed and encourage individuals to get out and vote. |

KTDO El Paso Posts Impressive Growth in Key Time-Periods
KTDO El Paso continues to increase its ratings and audience shares among all key demographics, according to Nielsen Media Research. Book-to-book, the station experienced considerable viewership and ratings growth during daytime, early fringe and primetime. Among the highlights are:
- The station continues to grow share from sign on-sign off and commands more than a third of the audience.
- In daytime and early fringe (Monday through Friday 1pm to 5pm), KTDO is the No.1 broadcast station among all viewers in the entire market (both Spanish and English), commanding a +16% average lead over KINT, the local Univision station.
- KTDO continues to experience steady primetime growth in the Spanish-language market with its programs from 6-10pm. In fact, the station's primetime audience share increased by 20%.
- KTDO's evening news block (5:00 and 5:30pm) more than doubled its audience share from last years' sweeps.

 | Families enjoy the Telemundo Tampa Exhibit Hall | WRMD Tampa and Glazer Children's Museum Announce Partnership
WRMD Tampa announced a new partnership with The Glazer Children's Museum to encourage exploration and learning through presentations displayed throughout the year at the newly-opened Telemundo Tampa Exhibit Hall. The 5-year alliance will increase outreach and promote participation in the Hispanic community. The first exhibit in the Telemundo Tampa Exhibit Hall is Get the Message. This new presentation provides visitors with an opportunity to explore the various aspects of human communication, ranging from facial expressions to social media. There are 15 interactive learning workshops in the exhibition including displays and activities about cave art, sign language, and Morse code. |

holaciudad.com participated in the U.S. Department of Education' s Twitter and Ustream TV Town Hall to discuss education issues facing the Latino community. The Town Hall was hosted by Secretary of Education Arne Duncan on February 8. Duncan was joined by José Rico, Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics, and guests from Latinos in Social Media (LATISM). holaciudad.com's tweet - What steps are being taken to improve the participation of young Hispanics in STEM careers? - was answered live by Secretary Duncan during the stream and earned the most mentions, more than an other media outlet, Spanish or English during the Town Hall. The Twitter conversation was a great opportunity to interact, share the knowledge of influential Latinos, and discuss the state of Latino education in our country. |

Telemundo's very own, Dra. Ana María Polo, was named the Honorary Chair for the 20th Annual Komen El Paso Race for the Cure on February 19 at Cohen Stadium. KTDO El Paso viewers came out in droves to participate as Komen El Paso organizers enjoyed one of the most heavily attended events in its history. Polo's appearance was a great opportunity for the station to promote her popular shows, as well as reach the community with her powerful message as a breast cancer survivor. |

WNEU Boston Holds First La Feria of the Season
WNEU Boston held its first in a series of La Feria de la Familia events on March 4 at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, MA. The event included a variety of entertainment, as well as information from groups and businesses focused on education, health, community services, and more. The emcee of the event, Verónica Robles, from the show, Órale con Verónica, introduced the crowd to local personalities Omar Cabrera and Johnny Peguero from the WNEU show, El Reporte de los Red Sox, as well as Wally, the beloved mascot of the Boston Red Sox. A highlight of the event was the participation of novela star, Cynthia Olavarria. As part of the 2012 series, WNEU will present additional La Feria de la Familia events in June and September at different venues across the region. |

KNSO Fresno is always looking for the most dedicated local soccer fan. With the CONCACAF Olympic qualifying matches in Los Angeles, it was the perfect opportunity for an on-air promotion to give away tickets to the March 25 Mexico vs. Honduras game. In order to win, participants had to show they were the best Selección Mexicana fans by attending an event at Los Amigos Restaurant. Participants proved they could scream the best "Goooooooooooool!" and showed they were the most spirited for their team, but Rashel Alcalá and Jorge Solís took home the prize. |

WNEU Boston and WRIW Providence worked together on a 12 Corazones promotion sponsored by Metro PCS. Via online, on-air, and print ads, viewers of the popular Telemundo dating show were invited to attend castings where they answered questions like "Porqué amas a MetroPCS? (why do you love MetroPCS?)." Responses were posted on holaciudad.com and area residents were encouraged to vote for their favorite. Four semi-finalists were chosen and viewers were again invited to join the activities at various MetroPCS store locations to help select the winner. Anelbys Cubilete won a trip to Los Angeles to tour the 12 Corazones studio and meet Penélope Menchaca, the star of the show. |

Cita con tu consul airs every Monday during Romantica 900am's popular morning show Una Buena Mañana led by Sergio Urriola and Claudia Alfaro. During the segments, consuls have the opportunity to inform their audience on the types of programs their embassies provide, upcoming events, immigration questions, as well as other relevant information creating a new forum for Spanish-speaking consulates to reach their communities. |

WRMD Tampa hosted their first Linea de Ayuda on March 22 with Acosta Law Firm PA with the purpose of educating and helping the community. For three hours, viewers called-in and asked questions about immigration, foreclosure and loan modifications. Raengel Solís and Francisco Antonio Flores from the local holaciudad teve! program also posed viewers' questions to Abogado Acosta during regular programming commercial breaks. |
