YPL's Featured Associate of the Month!
Christine - Accounting Department
Introducing...

Christine Kruppa!

Christine has been involved with the chauffeured transportation industry for over two years, specializing in all accounting aspects of the business as well as becoming very diverse within the internet side of YPL.

"The demand for online reservations, email confirmations, receipts and invoices have required the staff and I to adapt to the world of technology and e-commerce", states Christine.  "In addition to clients needing on-demand info of their travel itinerary via the internet, our chauffeurs also receive immediate information via text messages on their cell phones, accurate directions from their GPS systems and the aid of our dispatch utilizing state-of-the-art technology including real-time flight tracking".

"The most exciting change I have been a part of in the past year has been the ease in which we book and manage large groups in excess of 100 passengers at one time.  In the past, one person would manually input each reservation,in-bounds and out-bounds, consuming several hours.  Now, we have the ability to download a spreadsheet, provided by the event planner, in a matter of minutes!  This allows more time for us to assist the event planner in planning the details of their event rather than the painful hours of data input", exclaims Christine.

Christine, a newlywed, enjoys spending her free time with her husband and family.  This fall Christine will be pursuing her Associates Degree in Applied Science with a focus on Accounting.

Contact Christine at christine@yourprivatelimo.com for any questions you may have or just to wish her a very Happy Birthday (April 1st)!

Why do I have to wait 10 - 12 minutes at the airport?

O'Hare Sunrise
The newsletter gives us an opportunity to convey information to our customers from feedback, comments and suggestions. One area we would like to address is airport pickup procedures. The Chicago airport can be a confusing place especially when you're a first time traveler. When arriving at the airport we ask that you call from the baggage claim level with luggage in hand.  The YPL customer service agent will give you a license plate number (3-4 digits long), description of vehicle and direct you out a door with an approximate time of vehicle arrival (avg. 10-12 minutes). The vehicle is immediately dispatched to the terminal from the limousine staging area. On heavy volume times it can take anywhere from 15-30 minutes once dispatched to the terminals, YPL will try to give more accurate ETA's and ask for a cell number for when the vehicle arrives at the terminal (on heavy volume times).

In regards to pickup doors the city of Chicago has dedicated certain doors for Livery vehicles. There has been some confusion on door assignment because of construction at the terminals. During construction doors have been moved, changed and permanently closed.  We will try to keep you updated as we receive information from the Manager of Landside Operations-O'Hare.

Possible problem scenarios; calling for a vehicle from the plane, calling before picking up luggage and calling while walking thru the terminal. Once the vehicle is dispatched, there is no circling or waiting at the terminal.  It is a cat and mouse game with ground security, they have a 'no wait' policy. If your vehicle is chased out they will have to go back around (avg. 15-25 minutes).

Flight arrival times are tracked with our integrated flight tracking system. Once you arrive and find there is a delay with your luggage, please call our office to give us an update.

You only need to call our office if your flight has been cancelled or diverted.

If you have any questions regarding this information please call one of our customer service agents, 1.888.633.5466.

I understand many of you are being faced with having to reduce expenses and taking a good hard look at where every dollar is being spent.  The cost of travel seems to be one of those areas that is initially cut; thus, reducing long distance interactions and reducing that ever needed 'face time' with clients and associates.  The question then needs to be asked, "Are your competitors traveling"?
