"Every day someone tells me that Gettysburg National Military Park is their favorite park," said Bob Kirby, superintendent of GNMP. "This is a great opportunity for our visitors, the local community, and our park partners who love this place as much as we do to vote their feelings. With their help, we will have $100,000 to invest in making sure that every visitor has a great experience."

A Lost New Hampshire Story Comes to Life
My Brave Boys: To War with Coloney Cross & the Fighting Fifth by: Mike Pride and Mark Travis
Signed by author Mike Pride while in Gettysburg for the 2010 Sacred Trust Speaker Series

Hardcover, 357 pgs --Special Member Price: $28.00

My Brave BoysAs Walter Holden, a longtime student of the Fifth, writes in his foreword: "The reader will see how an outstanding regiment was formed and outfitted, how the men camped and marched, how they reacted to battle. Here are the deft personal touches that bring events to life. Here are the heroics but also the gripes and backbiting, the conflicts between leaders and the subjugation of the individual for the success of the group." This is a book for any Civil War buff or student of history, but it will be of particular interest in the state that produced this extraordinary regiment long ago.
