Did you know that in the United States there is one doctor for every 390 people?  In Liberia that number drops to an incredible one doctor for every 33,500 people and in Malawi that number is an unbelievable one doctor for every 50,000 people. FAME recognizes this desperate need for qualified healthcare workers and is doing its part in solving this issue through our scholarship program for Christian students in developing countries.

Impact Partners Scholarship Assistance is a program that provides funding for students who are pursuing a degree in healthcare, whether it is medicine, nursing, dentistry, or some other field.  FAME provides scholarships to these Christian students for tuition, books, and other educational expenses.  Impact Partners give $360 a year to help fund a student.  This can be given as one annual gift or in increments of $30 per month.

These students are recommended by the ministries that partner with FAME in developing countries; they are monitored and held accountable for grades and spiritual growth throughout their schooling, and after graduation they are required to serve in a medical ministry with a FAME partner ministry.

Will you partner with FAME and help alleviate the shortage of doctors in developing countries?  You can change the lives of hundreds, even thousands of people, by giving these students the opportunity to meet the physical and spiritual needs of their people.

The Impact of a Student
by Dale Meade, Ph.D. Missionary/Educator Columbia Christian Mission

Diana from ColumbiaFor many years we have worked to help the children of Colombia and especially the children of the Colombian Christians with scholarships as part of our full Gospel message.  Our Christian day school provides for primary education. But the children of Christians still needed help so they could attend college.  The degree of poverty of many of these parents is shocking.  The Gospel and education provide the two essential doorways through which people can escape from poverty.  When we began to have students interested in studying for careers in the health care professions, the cost of these programs was beyond our means.  We prayed for help and God, through FAME and its supporters, came to our aid.      More...
Support of a Student in India
by Ajai Lall, Director of Central India Christian Mission

Anna in India We are grateful for your support in the past years for Anna's education.  We are sure her becoming a doctor will be a great blessing to many people.  She will be a blessing to our medical evangelistic work.  Words are inadequate to express our thanks for the support extended by the Impact Partners towards the different needs of our medical evangelistic work.  Thank you again for your continuous support.  We are grateful for your love to the people of India.
