Projects...
FAME
continues to be blessed with opportunities to share the Good News of Jesus
Christ through the funding of medical projects in the majority world,
fulfilling our mission to serve the unreached and underserved. A few current examples of partnerships with
which we are involved are construction of two different clinics, hospital
construction in the southeastern part of India,
and expansion of another hospital in India to provide desperately needed
facilities for the care of AIDS patients.
Vehicles are being provided for two other medical ministries in India
to enable them to provide mobile medical care to rural
communities.
In
July, FAME will provide full funding for purchase of a CD4 counter for a well
established Christian hospital in Zimbabwe. This is a crucial piece of laboratory
equipment for the monitoring of treatment of people with AIDS. Negotiations are in progress for acquisition
of land in the vast slums of Nairobi,
Kenya, where
FAME will provide funding for a medical clinic when the land becomes
available. We are very appreciative of
the extreme generosity of all our donors who make the funding of these projects
possible. Despite our struggling
economy, we continue to depend on God's perfect timing and perfect provision
through His people, and claim His promise of Ephesians 3:20. Thank you for your willingness to stand
alongside us in the task of reaching the world for Christ through medical
evangelism.
Tom Alley, M.D.
Director of Medical Services

A New Clinic Opens in Honduras by Felipe (Trevor) Colby, His Eyes
March
25th was a special day in the life of the His Eyes staff in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
That was the day that the new clinic building was commissioned to God's
work. The new building is situated on the same property, just across a
driveway from the existing clinic building. More...

Hospital in India Gets Started... by Charles Grubbs, NACEA
It was early evening, and the family was sitting together, visiting, in a mud hut in a remote village. Suddenly the grandmother put her hands to her chest, let out a cry, and collapsed into her grandson's arms. There was no hospital, doctor or medical aid within 50 kilometers of that rural community on the banks of the Krishna River. More...
