I am occasionally asked, "Can anything lasting really be accomplished on a short-term mission trip?"  To this I answer with an emphatic "Yes!"  I realize mission trips are costly and if not done correctly can be more of a problem than a blessing to the host missionary, but a well-planned mission trip can have many eternal results.  To emphasize the impact of just one mission trip, we are focusing on an October 2008 FAME mission trip to Haiti in this issue of the e-newsletter.  If you didn't believe it before, as you read the articles below I believe you will be convinced that short-term mission trips are well worth the time, expenses and effort.

Dan Mann

On our most recent trip, we assisted over one thousand Haitians with a variety of issues, who otherwise wouldn't have been able to seek medical attention.  What surprised me was how these beautiful people transformed my relationship with God.  It was inspiring to see people with barely enough resources to stay alive have more faith in God than most people I know who live in luxury.  More...
