Just an update to report how your response to our plea for sleeping bags helped our kids have a fun and successful week at camp this year!  We received multiple sleeping bags and enough cash donations to provide the items needed to send our youngsters to camp.  Thank you for being our partners in this great work.

Camp Report from Ryan Dennis

I cannot begin to tell you all how much fun we had at camp this year.  We had such a good time just being out in the middle of nowhere surrounded by God's Creation.  In fact that was our theme for the week.  We learned all about God's creation and
that nothing was left to chance.  Our God took his time and made everything in this world with such fine detail and creativity.  We also learned about "Laminin."  I know that you are thinking to yourself "What is Laminin?"  Ask any of our kids that went to camp and they can all give you a full description of how important Laminin is to our bodies.  

The greatest news that I have to share with the campus is that all of our kids received their Bible Awards.  To receive a Bible Award every child had to say a weeks' worth of memory verses to their Bible teachers, and trust me these verses were long and sometimes difficult.  I want to also say thank you to all of the staff and kids that went to White River Youth Camp.  I have heard nothing but good things from the Counselors, Bible Teachers, and Staff.  I also want to thank the Beene Family for everything that they do for us here at the Children's Home of Lubbock. They love having us
at camp and Papa Beene personally told me he cannot wait to see our kids again next year.
