Greetings!

Lubbock has been hot, hot, hot this summer!  And while that might make one think longingly of cool mountain breezes, students at The Children's Home are eagerly packing their bags to go to White River Youth Camp --- where it may be even hotter!

Summer Camp - Where Lives are Changed!

The heat is not a drawback for a group of youngsters bent on having the time of their life.  Sleeping in tents, swimming, horseback riding, archery --- not to mention daily bible classes and campfire devotionals --- all of these in the company of godly adults and a host of friends, both old and new make up a life-changing experience for kids at the Home.

For some of them, it's the first time they've been out of Lubbock County.  For many, it's their first taste of summer camp.  And for all of them, it's an opportunity to be loved and accepted --- and to love and accept others --- right where they are.  They are away from the familiar, away from distractions, and they are able to truly concentrate on learning about their Creator and the wonderful plans He has made for them.
Many of our friends have sent gifts to make this experience possible for our children.  If you are one of them, thank you again!  If you haven't had the opportunity to help with camp and other summer expenses at the Home, you can click here to be a part of this great ministry.
