Greetings!

We pray that the holiday season has been a joyful one for you thus far.  Our children enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and are eagerly anticipating the arrival of Christmas (and its accompanying break from school!).

Year-End Donations - Reminder
We want to remind all our friends that gifts must be postmarked December 31, 2010 to be tax-deductible for 2010.  Our office will be closed on December 31st, but we will be noting postmarks for the first couple of weeks of the New Year so that we can receipt your gift properly.
Fresh Pecans...Finally!
Pecans After depleting our reserves of pecans this past year, we now have pecans fresh from the orchard and the sheller, and they are beautiful!!

Just in time for holiday baking...If you have an interest in supporting the Home by purchasing pecans, they are available in 3 pound bags for $8.00 per pound = $24 a bag. Contact Jill at (806) 762-0481, ext 213.
World's Largest Snow Cone
Raises Over $12,600
Worlds_Biggest_Sno_Cone Lubbock is now home to the world's largest snow cone!

Our special thanks to Bahama Buck's (and manager, Blake Buchanan), who on Thursday topped off its three-day effort to make the world's largest snow cone, creating a treat weighing more than 25,000 pounds and raising money for The Children's Home of Lubbock.

Traci Cheek, CHL's Special Events Coordinator, said "Bahama Bucks - What a great event!!!  Besides the amazing publicity, they also raised over $12,600."

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy, prosperous, and blessed New Year!  May God make His face to shine upon you and give you peace in the coming year.

Sincerely,
Tom
