I am thankful for the Spiritual Seeds that we can plant even though they might have to be watered by someone else. Dawn Hayes, Program Specialist for the Assessment Center
I think one of the things that make this job the most rewarding are the challenges. Though these are not the most comfortable times, they are the times when we all pull together and do our best work, when we pray the hardest and it becomes evident that God is present in this work. For the children, these are the times when they are most vulnerable and open to relationships, hurting and need someone to comfort them, at a crossroad and need someone to guide them. During these times, we see the most progress, growth, relief, and resolution. We see God at work in the lives of the young people we serve. Debra Rogers, Unit Director for Education and Recreation
To have a child give me a hug because they care for me and know I care for them...when I see not only a child rise above the trauma but a family together become better and I know I played a role in their connection. Melanie Hernandez, Case Manager
I'm grateful for bedtime prayers with the children (especially the ornery ones). Kayla Winters, Case Manager, Therapeutic Group Care
I am thankful for the people who have dedicated so many years of service to this organization. Hoping I will be one of them. Ryan Dennis, Recreation Coordinator
I am thankful for the children in care who in spite of so much they have gone through, still smile and laugh so many times. Miguel Nunes, Houseparent in Minton Cottage
I am thankful for house parents and foster parents!!!!!! Lynn Harms, President
