Did you know that our very popular VoltageVision Thru-door Power Warning Alert is also available in a non-flashing version? We call it, yep you guessed it, our Solid-on unit!
In this unit, instead of flashing, the LEDs are simply on when the voltage is above 330. When you lose a phase you will still lose the LEDs that correspond with that phase giving you a vis ual indication outside the panel that there is a problem.
An externally-mounted voltage detector provides a means to check voltage inside a panel. Without a voltage indicator, a mechanic performing mechanical LOTO would be required to work in tandem with an electrician using a voltmeter to physically verify voltage inside an electrical panel. In this case, the electrician is exposed to voltage. With thru-door voltage detectors, the mechanic can verify zero electrical energy without any exposure to voltage.
